About the Class
This summer we turn our focus to cuadro skills in the Tuesday night Alegrias class. With the assistance of special guest instructors and musicians we'll develop Alegrias palmas and jaleos accompaniment, explore guided improvisation, and learn how to lead the cuadro through verbal and movement language. Dancers are not required to have their entire Alegrias choreography "solo ready," participants will be invited to solo sections of the choreography.
*All classes can be taken in person or via ZOOM
Summer 1 (6 weeks):
6/20, 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25
Summer 2 (6weeks):
8/1, 8/8, 8/15, 8/22, 8/29
Class cost:
$18/hr
*Note: the cost of this class covers additional instructor/musician fees
