In the Fall session students in the Level 1 class will study Soleá por Buleriás (also called Bulerías por Solea), a favorite in the tablao for the ample opportunities to improvise, the moderate tempo, and the determined, strong character of the dance.
We will be working on individual elements of the dance (marcajes, remates, llamadas, escobillas) and we’ll learn how to use these elements together to create a full tablao style piece. We’ll start each class with braceo, foreo, footwork, vuelta, and marcaje technique exercises. Last 5 minutes of class Wednesday nights will be dedicated to dancing Sevillanas.
Students are expected to attend class either in person or via ZOOM twice a week and make time to practice on their own outside of class. Those who wish to attend class once a week can do so with the understanding that they will need to dedicate more time to solo practice in order to progress with the class.

Wednesday 12 weeks:

Monday & Wednesday Full Session: $341
Monday & Wednesday 3 installments of: $129
Class hourly cost:
$18/hr Drop-in
$16/hr Three installments (~10% discount)
$14/hr Full Session (~20% discount)
*All classes can be attended in person or via ZOOM
If you elect to pay for the session in 3 monthly installments you will receive invoices for the 2nd and 3rd payments.
