Guitar: Alegrías II (Intermediate)

This class is a continuation of the Fall Alegrías (Intermediate) class. (The fall Alegrías class is not a prerequisite, though prior experience with Alegrías accompaniment is recommended). We will continue learning the essential elements of accompanying an Alegrías dance (and cante) solo. After reviewing the Alegrías accompaniment, falseta and silencio material from the fall class, we will continue with learning escobilla footwork accompaniment patterns, bulerías de cádiz marcajes, cante accompaniment, a falseta and closing material. Many of the classes will include 15mins of live practice accompanying a dancer in the important footwork sections of Alegrías.  

Winter 10 weeks

1/7, 1/14, 1/21, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11, 2/18, 3/4, 3/11, 3/18

*No class 2/25

This class is offered in-person and over Zoom

Full session: $140

3 installments: $54

$18/hr Drop-in (full price)

$16/hr Payment in 3 Installments (10% discount)

$14/hr Full Session (20% discount)

If you elect to pay for the session in 3 installments you will receive invoices for the 2nd and 3rd payments.
