About the Class
In this class we will delve into this deeply rhythmic style (palo) of flamenco that is one of the major palos performed in a Tablao setting with a dancer. This darker palo is in a twelve count meter with a tempo and feel that sits between the two other palos Soleá and Bulerías, while retaining its own unique character. We will study the basic palmas pattern of this palo, a quejío (singing intro) and three letras (verses).
