About the Class
Introduction to Flamenco Dance II is for returning beginners and students who are new to Flamenco. In this class we will learn flamenco foundations, exploring the vocabulary and movement of flamenco dance. In the Spring session this class will focus on learning the first Sevillanas. Recommended for ages 13+.
Dancers can bring in their own flamenco shoes, borrow from our loaner shoes selection, or dance in street shoes or socks for this class. Lightweight clothing that is easy to move in is recommended. Loaner flamenco skirts are available.
11 weeks: 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3, 6/10*
*Class 6/10 meets 6:15 - 7:15 for Bulerias with Juan Paredes
