About the Class
This summer, our Beginning Intermediate dance class will focus on developing flamenco technique, including braceo, footwork, marcajes, turns, and palmas. Students will also learn choreography for the second letra of Alegrías. The class will conclude with a review of all four Sevillanas.
Beginning/Intermediate level dancers have an understanding of 12 count palmas and marcajes (paso de solea), all four sevillanas choreographies, and are able to practice at home and/or attend class twice a week. Recommended: two or more years of previous flamenco experience.
9 weeks: 6/29, 7/6, 7/20, 7/27, 8/3, 8/10, 8/17, 8/24, 8/31
No class 7/13
