About the Class
Zorongo was a fashionable Spanish dance during the 18th century. It regained popularity when Federico Garcia Lorca recorded it with La Argentinita in 1931. This Winter we will continue working on our Zorongo choreography that includes lyrical movement, exciting cuts and dramatic tempo changes. Classes start with Beginning/Intermediate technique exercises for braceo, floreo, footwork, and vueltas. At the end of each class we will run all four Sevillanas.
All students are expected to make time to practice on their own in order to progress in their training (this can be as little as 5 minutes a week).
