Sevillanas 3 & 4 (Beginning 2)

Over the summer, our Beginning 2 class will focus on developing flamenco technique, including braceo, footwork, turns, marcajes, and palmas. Students will begin learning the choreography for Sevillanas 3 and 4, and the class will conclude with a review of our Fandangos choreography.

Dancers who have learned the first and second Sevillanas but have not learned the Fandangos choreography are welcome to join for the first hour of class.

This Beginning 2 Level class is appropriate for beginners with previous flamenco dance experience, returning beginners who have taken one or more sessions of “Introduction to Flamenco Dance,” and for dancers who would like to learn the 3rd and 4th Sevillanas choreographies. 

10 weeks: 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28, 8/4, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/1
